PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: September 23, 2026

CRE Companies (“CRE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit crecompanies.com, contact us, or work with us in connection with commercial lease audits, operating expense reviews, and related services.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: Your name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, and the contents of inquiries, forms, emails, and other communications.

  • Client and project information: Information supplied in connection with an engagement, including leases, property and tenant details, landlord and property manager contact information, invoices, reconciliations, correspondence, and related records. Some of these materials may contain personal information about individuals.

  • Website information: Your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, and approximate location derived from your IP address, as collected by our website hosting and security systems. Cookies or similar technologies may collect additional usage information if enabled on the site.

We may also receive relevant contact or project information from clients, landlords, property managers, referral sources, and publicly available business records.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; evaluate, provide, and administer our services; communicate with clients and other parties involved in a matter; review leases and charges; manage our business relationships; operate, secure, and improve our website and systems; comply with law; and protect our rights. We may send business updates or marketing communications where permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to employees, contractors, and service providers who support our work, including website hosting, email, document storage, customer relationship management, and professional advisers. We may disclose project information to a client and, as needed to perform the engagement, to landlords, property managers, or other parties involved in resolving a lease matter. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, sale, or other business transaction.

Our service providers and contractors are expected to use information for authorized purposes and protect it appropriately. We do not sell client lease files or contact information as a data product. Before publication, confirm whether any advertising or analytics technology on the site constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable privacy laws; if so, this section and the site’s opt-out controls must be updated.

Cookies and browser signals

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features. Before publication, identify the actual analytics, advertising, embedded-content, and cookie tools used on the site and describe them here.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal, and some send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control. Before publication, state accurately whether and how the site responds to each signal. If applicable law requires CRE to honor an opt-out preference signal, implement that behavior as well as disclosing it here.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing services, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and meeting contractual and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and engagement. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about our privacy practices. We will respond in accordance with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Certain information may need to be retained for legal, contractual, or legitimate business reasons. You may also designate an authorized agent where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to CRE, you may have additional rights, including the right to receive a copy of your information or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. If CRE ever uses personal information for a purpose that requires a specific opt-out or limitation mechanism under applicable law, we will provide the required notice and method to exercise that right.

Third-party websites

Our website may link to websites operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children

Our website and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date. If changes materially affect how we handle personal information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
